About Metaverse

Metaverse (ISSN: 2810-9791) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal indexed in Scopus. The journal is academically supported by the Institute for Metaverse, School of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), China, and is led by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Zhigeng Pan.

Metaverse is dedicated to publishing high-quality research on the technologies, applications, and societal impacts of the metaverse and related digital ecosystems. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform that bridges computer science, artificial intelligence, edge computing, distributed systems, digital twins, blockchain, virtual and augmented reality, cybersecurity, and human-computer interaction, alongside their social, economic, educational, and organizational implications.

Particularly relevant to ECPDC 2026, Metaverse welcomes contributions on edge intelligence, parallel and distributed computing, cloud-edge collaboration, IoT, AI-driven infrastructures, security and privacy, and emerging computing paradigms that support next-generation immersive environments.

The journal publishes Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports, Perspectives, and Commentaries, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across academia and industry.
